Dana Mitchell

Dana Mitchell MSEd, BSN, RN, CCRN

President

Dana Mitchell is a dedicated registered nurse with a strong educational background, including degrees in both Education and Nursing. With over eight years of critical care experience at URMC, including working in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit where Dana has gained valuable expertise in managing advanced heart failure patients requiring mechanical support. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dana broadened his experience by working in a highly infectious disease unit, further developing his skills in managing complex patient situations. Dana is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Outside of his professional life, Dana serves as the Cubmaster for Farmington Pack 50 of Scouts BSA. Recently, Dana joined Thompson Health as the Critical Care Educator, where he continues to contribute to the field by sharing his knowledge and experience with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Benjamin Lindsay

Benjamin Lindsay MS, RN, CCRN

Benjamin identifies as a queer Trans nonbinary individual and uses they/them pronouns. They have been a Registered Nurse since 2017, obtaining their Bachelor's degree at Nazareth College. Benjamin received their Master of Science in Nursing, focusing on Nursing Education in December of 2022. Benjamin recently started the Clinical Nurse Specialist/Doctor of Nursing Practice program at St. John Fisher University. Benjamin’s experience has included critical care, surgical, neuro, clinical instruction, professional development, and education. Benjamin is a proud board member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Greater Rochester Fingerlakes Chapter. In their free time, they volunteer with The Trevor Project supporting their 24/7 crisis support services to LGBTQ young people. As a registered nurse and Nurse Educator Benjamin is passionate about critical care, education, advocacy, diversity, equity, inclusivity, exploring nurse burnout, and filling the gap between academic and clinical practice. 

Rebecca Norby

Rebecca Norby RN, MSBA, BSN

Becky has been an RN with the University for the past twelve years in a few different bedside and leadership roles, including Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager of Ambulatory GI, and currently working as the Master’s Prepared RN for one of the Surgical ICU (8-1400). She earned her BSN at Gannon University and her MSBA from the University of Rochester, Simon Business School in 2017.Becky really enjoys the teaching and mentoring nurses and she has a particular passion for CLABSI prevention.

She is involved in various local and national committees including the committees for CLABSI prevention, the Blood borne exposure committee, and serves as a Critical Care mentor. She is a member of including the Association of Critical-Care Nurses, GRA-FL, the New York Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders (NYONEL), the Finger Lakes Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders (FLONEL), and the Association for Vascular Access (AVA).

Uletha Jones

Uletha Jones DNP, CCRN, RN

Uletha Jones earned her baccalaureate degree in nursing from the University of Rochester in 1994. Following graduation, she began working on a Cardiac Step-Down Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. After working for one year at Strong, Uletha left the Rochester area and was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. Uletha worked in the clinical areas of critical care, emergency/trauma and the operating room. This opportunity also offered her the chance to live in Bethesda, Maryland, Guam, Micronesia Islands, Pensacola, Florida, and Camp Pendleton, California.

In 2009, Uletha earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. While working on her Doctorate in 2011, Uletha received orders to deploy to Afghanistan for 9 months. Upon returning, she resumed her degree program and graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Duquesne University in 2014.

She enjoys running competitively, spending time with family, traveling, scuba diving and hiking.

Susan Stell

Sue works in the Cath Lab at Rochester General Hospital (RGH). She’s worked at RGH for 25 years. Sue received her BS in Physical Education from University of Buffalo, her MS in physical education from the University of Wyoming. Using her original degrees, Sue worked on original research in Motor Learning (how people learn motor skills). She then went back to school where she received a diploma in Nursing from Sister of Charity school of Nursing, followed by her BSN and MSN from Roberts Wesleyan College. Her capstone projects were in school nursing and parish nursing respectively. Sue is married, has 4 children, 6 grandchildren to date, and 2 dogs. She is a member of AACN, GRAFL, GVNA, Sigma, and the Christian Nurses Association.
